McMahan City Park and Pool

The McMahan City Park and Pool are located at the intersection of US Hwy 183 and State Hwy 16 south of Goldthwaite.  The Park has several pavilions, playground equipment, volley ball court, basketball court, restroom facilities and picnic tables.  It is open year round unless otherwise posted.  Its hours of operation are 8am to 10pm.  It is the home to the official State Championship BBQ and Goat Cook-off, held annually in late April.  Other events include fireworks during the 4th of July, seasonal markets and is available for family reunions and other events by reservation.  Reservations must be by contacting Goldthwaite Cityhall.

The pool is open from Memorial day weekend to Labor day weekend, it is closed Mondays and Tuesdays during that time.  Hours are subject to change.  Reservations can be made by contacting Cityhall.
